“The idea of putting a simulation inside a robot… is a really neat way of allowing it to actually predict the future.” “Theory of mind” is the term philosophers and psychologists use for the ability to predict the actions of self and others by imagining ourselves in the position of something or someone else.
The components of a robot are the body/frame, control system, manipulators, and drivetrain.
If we are to build human-like robots that can interact naturally with people, our robots must know not only about the properties of objects but also the properties of animate agents in the world. One of the fundamental social skills for humans is the attribution of beliefs, goals, and desires to other people. This set of skills has often been called a “theory of mind.” This paper presents the theories of Leslie (1994) and Baron-Cohen (1995) on the development of theory of mind in human children and discusses the potential application of both of these theories to building robots with similar capabilities. Initial implementation details and basic skills (such as finding faces and eyes and distinguishing animate from inanimate stimuli) are introduced. I further speculate on the usefulness of a robotic implementation in evaluating and comparing these two models.
Scientist
have made technology for important uses.
Games were
invented for a little fun for kids, but it is not that they will play 24/7.They
even have to their studies also. It is better they give only 1 hour
for games and they give more interests in books like fairy tales, comics,
novels, science books, space, encyclopedia, etc.
Books can be humans’ best friend they
will learn new words, they can learn English better because there are many
disadvantages of internet, social media and also games.
Kids
are attracted the most.
Kids
spend a lot of time in front of the screen and they spend only 60 min for
studies. It is known common knowledge that high levels of social media use in
both kids and adult’s because they will be self-esteem and create negative
moods. Recent search has shown screens from devices such as tablets,
smartphones, emit harmful blue light that can cause headaches, eye irritation,
eyes strain for kids. Technology access can be just as
addicting as alcohol, drugs, and other vices. In the United States, the average
person checks their smartphone about 100 times per day. That action occurs even
if there are zero notifications for them to check on. Students may find
themselves trying to access other components of the online experience instead
of the learning experience. Only clear boundaries and expectations to follow
can counter this issue so that technology can provide a needed learning
opportunity.
Interacting with
people online is a very different experience than interacting with them
face-to-face. When people feel like they can be anonymous, they begin to lose
the filter that they have over their words and conduct. Some people even
disconnect from regular social interactions for the comfort of a screen, words,
and emojis. That is why technology should be used as a tool in the classroom.
It cannot be the only component of the learning process for students. Technology allows for easier communication between people and
that is a definite positive. That ease of communication also makes cheating
more likely. All it takes is a single group email broadcast to share the
answers to a quiz or test, especially if the teacher is not monitoring student
interactions on the computer. Encouraging thought
instead of memorization typically reduces the urge to cheat. In the United States, there are 1 in 5 children who live in
households that do not have regular food security. The idea of incorporating
modern technology into their lives is secondary. It’s better to have a pantry
stocked with essential groceries than to have a new iPhone in the pocket.
Schools must provide technology access that is equal to everyone for it to be
an effective learning tool. Free resources, such as computer access at a
library, must have barriers to access removed. Only through sharing can this
issue be negated.
Children are uniquely
adaptable to changing environments. What they see is what they think is normal,
even if what they see is problematic. That includes more than just their
eyesight. Children often lose track of time when they are using a device with a
screen. This leads to prolonged periods of sitting, which could lead to
hyperactivity, obesity, and other issues. It can also interfere with sleep
patterns as the child disengages with their natural circadian rhythm.
The Internet allows people to learn information about any topic
and offers an answer to any type of question, as it contains endless knowledge
and information. Using a search engine like Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and
more, they all allow users to ask any question and find a web page with an
answer about that question. You can also watch videos about any topic on sites
like YouTube, which contain millions of videos of several topics. Also, you can
learn online courses in many different subjects.
The Internet can help users to provide information almost every
place in the world on the map with the help of GPS technology. You can find
businesses in your area or the quickest route to your location. Although,
today's search engines are most powerful to know the user's location and help
offer the relevant searches for your area. Also, it can provide you the contact
information or address of any showroom or other services man. For example, if
you want to get the address of an electrician, you can search for an
electrician and get a list of local electricians in your area with their
address.
